Before the first morning crow is uttered, Mr. Rutledge Cemani can be heard scratching in the forge. Soon thereafter, warm embers begin their glow. The sun rises and they each bare their own deep orange morning light. The day has begun. “Make haste! Make haste!” Mrs. Rutledge faithfully exclaims. “The slack tub must be prepared. The tongs and vise made ready.” There is much work to be done. Lord Hamish is browsing his way over today. A new hay trough must be hammered out before the spring kidding begins.
The Ayam Cemani is originally from Indonesia. They are completely black including their skin, organs, bones, and muscle. This comes from a dominant gene that causes hyperpigmentation. Hens are 3.5 to 4.5lbs and roosters are 4.5 to 6.5 lbs. They lay medium cream colored egg.
We sell hatching eggs online with a minimum of 10 hatching eggs per order.
